Alliance of International Production Houses

“FACE” is a desktop show and workshop at the same time! This episode is about the influence of technology on our body awareness. What possibilities are there to rediscover ourselves with the help of technology? How much of a human being are we still – and how much of a cyborg? How can supposedly “natural biological facts” and constricting binaries be looked at anew from this perspective? To what extent can trans- and posthumanist conceptions help to answer the question of what it actually means to be a human being in the year 2021?

As always, in the interactive workshops we would like to think and experiment together in order to use current and future technologies in a self-determined and political way.

The workshop will take place on Discord and will be hosted by Philisha Kraatz. Co-host of this edition is Joran Yonis. Philisha Kraatz is part of dgtl fmnsm and works as experience researcher and performance artist. Joran Yonis is a (performance) artist, curator, scholar, and gender hacker. dgtl fmnsm has presented feminist, queer and tech-positive perspectives on technology narratives since 2016.
