Intime Revolution
Anna Papst/Mats Staub
How can we talk about sex? Anna Papst and Mats Staub investigate this in “Intimate Revolution”. In the Glauburg Café, now transformed into an “audio vinotheque”, visitors put on headphones, enjoy a glass of wine and listen to four courses of honest reflections on sex – candid, intimate, enriching. Sex is omnipresent in the media, explain the two dialogue artists, “but talking openly about the ways in which we desire and what we experience emotionally during sex is rare.” This is exactly what happens in “Intimate Revolution”: people of different ages and genders talk about their sexual biographies and how they have consciously and newly learnt about sexuality over the course of their lives.
Mats Staub and Anna Papst have been working with the interview format for years. After supporting each other in various projects, “Intimate Revolution” is their first long-term project together. The interviews are verbally condensed and in some cases newly read by speakers – this concentrated form allows the listener to immerse themselves deeply in the complex subject matter.
