On Justice #3
My Body, My Rights

  • Dialogue

With Adriana Lamačková, Ewa Majewska, Leonie Steinl, Tina Tomšič & Zorka Wollny; Moderation: Peggy Piesche

The right to make decisions about one’s own body should be self-evident. And yet it is enshrined in law in very few countries around the world – not even in Germany. Feminists have been fighting for reproductive rights, i.e. the right to reproductive health, sexual self-determination, contraception and abortion, for more than a century, and now, with the rise of far-right movements, they are under even more pressure. In the third edition of “On Justice,” prominent activists from Eastern Europe and Germany as well as legal experts illustrate the connections between misogyny, authoritarianism and right-wing extremism and discuss the current legal battles for bodily and reproductive self-determination on a national and international level.
