Portrait: die Choreografin Reut Shemesh
As part of the Jewish Music and Theatre Week 2021 and as part of the Education and Action Weeks against Anti-Semitism 2021
On the occasion of the anniversary year “1700 years of Jewish life in Germany”, HELLERAU presents a portrait of the Israeli choreographer and artist Reut Shemesh in cooperation with the Jewish Culture Days Dresden. The artist, who comes from Tel Aviv and lives in Cologne, deals with the particularities of her homeland, with images of women and gender roles in Orthodox Jewish and non-religious contexts.
