She She Pop
Dance Me!
What is a generation? Does it even exist? And if it does: What could different generations tell each other? Dance Me! is a dance marathon that pits two generations against each other. The stage becomes an arena. This is where She She Pop and guests, in the role of the older ones, meet a group of young performers. They negotiate and celebrate the “generation gap” and a mutual lack of understanding through a strictly regulated dance ritual. Both teams train separately and confront the others with their newest moves during the show. They take turns: If they are not on the dancefloor, they are at the microphones, making music. Young and old set the beat for the others, pushing them – and they also seize the opportunity to complain about each other, to hurl insults, to admire and thank each other.
