Stories of Color Festival – Black Moves
BOBA Cities e.V.

  • Festival

“Frankfurt needs us. Culture is crucial to a city’s identity. With Stories of Color, we want to create spaces so that Frankfurt’s diversity is finally reflected at cultural events.” Rahel Berhanu

For the third time in a row, the creators of “Stories of Color – Schwarz bewegt” are curating a place for creativity that guarantees a safe space for BIPoC cultural actors and recipients, in which appreciative encounters are possible and new alliances can emerge in an atmosphere of encouragement and solidarity. Although Frankfurt is one of the most diverse cities in Germany, it remains a challenge for BIPoC people to live out their creativity in established spaces for art and culture. On 7 September, the Mousonturm and the festival will join forces to create this creative space. The programme includes readings, panels, workshops and a performance night followed by a party.
