What attributions and definitional patterns underlie the view of one’s own body and that of others? How do political and social power structures affect this? And how are social and collective bodies formed? From the thematic perspective of “Politics of the Body”, the Alliance Houses deal with the social, political and emancipatory forms and modes of action of the social and individual body and take a critical approach to questions of accessibility and participation. This means working on a social self-image that assumes diversity and difference in terms of ability, origin, skin color or gender as fundamental.
