Silent Echoes
HYBRID Box Closing
The video installation “Silent Echoes” deals with a dystopian vision of the future based on an implied ecological catastrophe. Digitally generated images show melted, sunken or eroded objects as silent echoes of the past. They stand for humanity’s failure to react in time to the impending catastrophe.
With this video work, the HYBRID Box closes its iron doors after three years as a permanent station in front of the Festspielhaus. From March, it will continue as a pop-up gallery in Dresden’s city center for several months.
