hybrid – Cutting Edge Canada Digital Art & Music in Collaboration with MUTEK

HYBRID will be established as an international platform, festival format, laboratory and experimental and discourse space for the arts in the digital age in HELLERAU in the next few years. The main focus will be on international and local artists and collectives that explore, visualize, discuss and further develop interfaces between technology, science, philosophy and society.
The first edition of HYBRID presents Canadian electronic sound and new media artists in collaboration with the international festival and network MUTEK. In addition, current initiatives, projects and tendencies in the field of digital transformation processes will be presented and discussed in collaboration with Ars Electronica (Linz), ZKM (Karlsruhe), ONASSIS Stegi (Athens), THE CONSTITUTE (Berlin/Dresden), PYLON (Dresden), objekt klein a (Dresden) and WISP (Leipzig).

The project HYBRID – Cutting Edge Canada is part of the cultural programme of Canada’s Guest of Honour appearance at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2020 and is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Government of Canada.
