Cecil:Auf der Suche nach der Insel der Trøtentiere

  • Music

Cecil is a caterpillar. And Cecil likes iceberg lettuce. That’s why he really wants to go to the Island of the Trøtentiere – because there’s always a party and you can eat iceberg lettuce all day long, as much as you can eat. So up on the herring cutter of Captain Penry – the always insomniac captain with the iceberg phobia – and off they go. With elephant seals, killer fish and pirates – and everything it takes for a turbulent sea adventure. Only when they finally arrive, everything is completely different than expected. “Cecil” is a tribute to the journey as a destination. A wild, surprising and enigmatic sea adventure that celebrates not only living in the moment, but just doing it. With child-friendly, fresh language without a pointing finger, self-evident facts are turned upside down.

The production of “Cecil” was sponsored by the Cultural Office of the City of Frankfurt am Main.

Iso Herquist’s concert is part of the series “Mouson Mini Music”, a project within the framework of the Alliance of International Production Houses, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
